James Hambro & Partners shortlisted for charity investment management award

James Hambro & Partners has been shortlisted in the prestigious Charity Times annual awards.

It is one of just six firms in the Boutique Charity Investment Management category – the winner will be announced in the Autumn.

Nicola Barber, Partner and Head of Charities at James Hambro & Partners said: “This is great recognition for the hard work we have been doing here to build our charity proposition.

“Most of our partners are themselves trustees of charities and not-for-profit organisations and we have used that experience to shape our proposition and service.

“We know that some larger firms have been moving charity accounts into pooled vehicles, and reducing access to the investment teams managing them. We offer bespoke and segregated portfolios, can meet specific ethical investment needs and offer direct access to investment teams – I think those were key factors in earning us this shortlisting.”

Charity Business Development Manager Fiona Matson said: “James Hambro & Partners has just celebrated its fifth anniversary so we now have five-year investment track record figures, and they compare well against those of our peers.

“We’ve demonstrated that as well as offering a personal and tailored service, we have the expertise and experience to be able to deliver strong investment performance and we’re seeing the benefit of that in the business we’re now attracting.”

This is the 16th year of the Charity Times Magazine Awards. Publishing director Mark Evans said that the quality and volume of entries this year was impressive, and making the shortlist is a significant achievement.

He said: “Universally recognised as the pinnacle of success, the Charity Times Awards really are the measure of professionalism combined with passion. The record number of entries demonstrates that the sector is in good hands, and at a time when good news about charities seems in short supply winning this accolade not only recognises an outstanding contribution to the sector, but also demonstrates the sector’s vital contribution to society and we look forward to celebrating that in October.”

This latest success follows on from James Hambro & Partners securing two places as finalists in the Private Asset Management Awards earlier in the year.

Ends.
