Mark Leach appointed partner at James Hambro & Partners

Wealth manager James Hambro & Partners (JH&P) has made Portfolio Manager Mark Leach a partner.

Leach joined the business in 2014 and plays a key role in identifying attractive global equities. JH&P is distinctive in building portfolios around a core selection of direct equities rather than funds.

JH&P Chairman Jamie Hambro said: “Mark is a  key member of the investment team, and this promotion is well deserved. We pride ourselves on our equity expertise, and good stock selection has been fundamental to our strong performance. Mark brings great intellect to the analysis of equities and a strong grasp of the broader picture and historical context. He is also a great communicator. He commands the respect of seasoned industry veterans on the team and clients alike.”

Leach previously worked for six years as an equity analyst and fund manager at J O Hambro Capital Management, focusing on the Pan European funds. He also spent three years as a portfolio manager at Ruffer LLP. A history graduate from Edinburgh University, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.

About James Hambro & Partners

James Hambro & Partners is an independently-owned wealth management group established in 2010 by Jamie Hambro and seasoned industry experts.

The Hambro family has a long and distinguished history in financial services in Europe, dating back to the eighteenth century.

The founding partners wanted to create a wealth manager that offered the high standards of personal service often associated with smaller businesses, while also delivering strong investment performance by capturing the best aspects of expertise and process found in some of the larger, less-personal investment houses.

Today, as well as looking after the financial planning and investment needs of many private clients and their families, James Hambro & Partners also offers investment solutions to IFA firms and manages investments for charities and not-for-profit organisations.
