Alex joined JH&P as a Partner in February 2021 to establish, build and lead the firm’s Edinburgh office. He began his career as a solicitor and spent many years with the leading Scottish-based legal firm Turcan Connell before becoming joint CEO of Tcam Asset Management. Alex is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He has a law degree and post-graduate legal qualification from the University of Edinburgh. As part of his commitment to pro bono work, Alex is delighted to serve as Treasurer on the Trustee Board of Myeloma UK, the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. Alex draws inspiration from various people and circumstances and recognises the value of ideas. However, experience has taught him that being open-minded, diligent and hard-working are more important drivers of successful outcomes for clients. During his spare time, Alex is a keen cyclist and hillwalker. But his most fun (and enviable) hobby is spending several weekends each year racing classic cars.
