George joined JH&P as a Partner and Financial Planner in 2021. He is a Chartered Financial Planner with over 20 years of industry experience, most recently working with TCAM Asset Management in Edinburgh – which 7IM acquired in 2018 – where he was Head of Financial Planning. George previously worked at Scottish Widows, HSBC Actuaries & Consultants and Mearns & Company. He prioritises working with clients and their finances in a transparent, easy-to-understand way. George believes this is a responsibility and a privilege. What motivates him most is the opportunity to understand what drives people and help them make informed decisions that can substantially impact their lives. George has been lucky enough to witness many eureka moments, which he says is incredible. He’s also inspired by Kermit the Frog (yes, really), who once said, “Creativity is like a puzzle, and people contribute different pieces to create a bigger picture”. In his spare time, George enjoys spending time with his family in Edinburgh and getting outdoors whenever possible, ideally utilising two wheels – gravel biking in the Pentland hills or mountain biking on the trails of the Scottish Borders.
