Joe joined JH&P as a Portfolio Manager in July 2022. He manages portfolios for private clients and contributes to the central investment process as an equity analyst and in the fund selection teams. Joe graduated from Durham University with a degree in Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Joe is motivated by working in a role that provides a tangible difference to an individual’s life. He believes that the company’s inherent culture is to put the client at the heart of everything we do, and this attitude means he loves to come to work every day. Joe Simpson’s mountaineering story from ‘Touching the Void’ and his perseverance, bravery, hard work and unwillingness to give up under pressure are attributes he tries to model in his professional and personal life (albeit slightly less severe circumstances). Joe likes to balance his time between keeping fit and socialising with friends. He is a keen sportsman and plays rugby for a team in London.
