Robert joined JH&P in 2021 as a Portfolio Manager. He also sits on the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. Robert began his investment career in 2001 at Laing & Cruickshank Investment Management. He worked for Cheviot Asset Management and UBS Wealth Management before joining Brooks Macdonald as Investment Director in 2011. He was promoted to Senior Investment Director in 2019. Robert holds the ICAEW Chartered Accountant and CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualifications and the CFA ESG certificate. In 2018 and 2019, Robert was included in the Citywire Top 100 leading fund selectors. He has also previously sat on The Financial Services Group of Livery Companies, a group which liaises with the Lord Mayor on financial services issues. Robert is motivated by knowing he’s working for the right company to have the time to look after clients and focus on helping them achieve their financial goals. He takes a lot of inspiration from Simon Sinek’s thoughts on Adopting an Infinite Mindset. In his spare time, Robert volunteers for two charitable trusts. He also enjoys watching rugby and cooking when he can.
