Partner, Financial Planner | Leeds
Ned Francis
Ned began his career at Calkin Pattinson in 2004, which merged with James Hambro & Partners in 2012, and has been providing financial advice to private clients for 15 years. He graduated from Durham University in 2003 with a joint honours degree in Natural Sciences: Biology and Anthropology. Ned is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, the highest qualification in Financial Planning. He is motivated to build trusted relationships with clients, providing them with peace of mind about the future. Ned is inspired by his great-uncle, Dick Francis, champion jockey and international best-selling author of 40 books – a rare individual who reached the pinnacle of two completely different disciplines and was incredibly successful. Ned believes there is no shortcut to success; it takes years and years of hard work and lives by the Michelangelo quote, ‘If people knew how hard I worked to achieve my mastery, it wouldn’t seem so wonderful after all.’ In his spare time, he plays hockey, having played eight seasons in the national premier league with various representative honours. A busy father of two, he also acts as chauffeur and supporter of sport, gym and drama endeavours by a nine and a seven-year-old.
