James Hambro & Partners

James Hambro & Partners is an independently-owned wealth manager. We set out with a vision to build a new kind of wealth manager that offers the benefits of an institutional approach to investing with detailed and personal service. Since our launch in 2010 we have become one of the UK’s fastest growing wealth managers. We now have over £4.5 billion of assets under management, our Head Office is in Pall Mall and we have recently opened offices in Leeds and Edinburgh.

We have assembled an outstanding team of financial planning and investment management professionals. Our independent ownership model has been fundamental in allowing us to recruit, reward and retain the best people.

Our Partners have, on average, more than 20 years’ experience of financial markets, and we are always adding new talent as part of our commitment to building client relationships that will last for generations.

Career development

At James Hambro & Partners, we always treat our employees as individuals and help them to fulfil their true potential.

Induction Programmes

All new hires are introduced to their teams before they join, and line managers play a key role in ensuring they settle in quickly and feel at home. A well-organised induction programme will give each new hire a good understanding of how the business works and fully integrate them into the firm.

Professional Development

All our employees are encouraged to develop and advance their careers at a pace that is appropriate for the individual. This will involve a number of training initiatives which include:

  • In-house training
  • External training
  • On-the job training

Performance Appraisals

Every employee participates in the annual performance process. Support is provided to manage the process to make sure each individual gets the most out of their appraisal. A Personal Development Plan is also developed at the same time to provide any additional support required such as training or mentoring.

At James Hambro & Partners, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects performance and aids retention.

Diversity and inclusion

Diversity and inclusion

At James Hambro & Partners, our approach is to provide an inclusive and collegiate environment enabling us to recruit, train and promote the best qualified, experienced and suitable candidates for each post. We ensure that ideas, concerns and problems are identified, and two-way communication is always effectively maintained. We provide an environment that identifies, encourages and rewards performance, excellence, innovation and quality client service. Regardless of race, ethnic or national origin, sex, marital or civil partner status, gender reassignment, disability, religion or belief, age, pregnancy or maternity or sexual orientation.

Corporate and Social Responsibility

At James Hambro & Partners, we take our corporate social responsibility extremely seriously. We strive to operate transparently and fairly in all dealings with our employees, clients and third parties. We seek to create a positive impact on our community and minimise our impact on the environment.

We have a strong commitment to our community. We offer each member of staff five days’ paid leave each year to work with our partner charities Greenhouse Sports and Future Frontiers or a charity of their own choice.

We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant pledging our support for staff who are members of the Reserves and for national events such as the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities.

We are participating in the 10,000 Black Interns Programme for 2022. The programme aims to transform the horizons and prospects of young black people in the United Kingdom by offering paid work experience across a wide range of different industries.

We have registered our interest in the PIMFA and CISI School Leavers Programme for 2022. The aim of the programme is to help increase our gender and ethnic diversity within financial planning, financial and investment advice roles in wealth management.

Staff wellbeing is of paramount importance at James Hambro & Partners which is why we have launched a wellbeing campaign. This campaign covers a wide range of different topics and provides staff with the information and resources they need to ensure that they are looking after their wellbeing.

Corporate and Social Responsibility

The value of your investments and the income received from them can fall as well as rise. You may not get back the amount you invested.
