Edward joined JH&P in January 2021 and manages investment portfolios for onshore and offshore private clients, trusts, corporates and charities. After graduating from the University of Manchester Ed worked at KPMG where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006. He later qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst in 2010 while at Newton Investment Management. Now based in our Leeds office, Ed is a core part of our investment team as well as serving as a Trustee for a local youth Charity. Outside of the office Ed pursues his sporting interests through his four young children, coaching the U8s football team for a local club in York and acting as a taxi driver for his children’s various sporting activities. When he gets a rare moment for himself, he  enjoys the occasional game of golf, watching York City with his family and meals out with friends. Ed was first attracted to the industry from the accountancy world by a desire to work with individuals in the knowledge that every situation is different, but the overarching goal of financial wellbeing remains the core principle – only by understanding the specific needs and objectives of clients can you formulate a coherent strategy to try and achieve these. Guiding clients through this journey continues to drive him today and with 4 young children it will continue to drive him for a while yet!
